We are not looking for moderators at the moment, not until the project is open to the public.
I aim to keep the number of staff very, very low and only have people when needs be. This thread is a future reference. Are you passionate about maintaining a friendly and enjoyable environment on our Minecraft server? Do you have what it takes to be a moderator and help keep our community safe and fun for everyone? If so, you're in the right place! We're excited to announce that moderator applications are now open.
Before you begin your application, please take a look at the 'Read before applying - Information & FAQ' thread for important information and answers to common questions. We may reject your application if you do not look at it. Exploring this section is highly recommended as it can help you better understand the responsibilities and other details, aiding you in making an informed decision about whether to proceed with your application.
What We Look for in Our Moderators:
At Inferris, we value certain qualities and attributes in our moderators. While we understand that everyone has busy schedules, we also believe that a strong commitment to the community is essential. Our moderators are not just enforcers of rules; they are friends and pillars of support within our community. Here's what we look for in our moderators:
- Community Dedication: We value individuals who are genuinely dedicated to our community's goals of unity and connection. While we accommodate busy schedules, we expect our moderators to make a sincere effort to engage with the community.
- Friendship and Trust: Our moderators are seen as friends and trusted figures within the community. We believe in creating a warm and safe atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable.
- Maturity: Maturity is an important trait we seek in our moderators. We want individuals who can handle situations with wisdom and composure, making decisions that benefit the community as a whole.
- Heart for Helping: Moderators should have a big heart and a genuine desire to help others. They should prioritize the well-being of the community over personal gain. As a moderator, your role goes beyond just enforcing rules; it includes actively assisting community members, resolving conflicts, and making our platforms a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all.
- Selflessness: We don't want power-hungry or greedy moderators. Instead, we seek individuals who want what's best for the community, even if it means putting their own desires aside.
- Interactive and Welcoming: Moderators should be interactive and welcoming, just like a friend would be. They should be approachable, open to conversations, and readily available to assist community members. We do not want robots.
